Build IRL

Hearing about things that have happened elsewhere can spark ideas about what you can implement locally.

Build IRL "bring[s] together passionate IRL [in real life] community builders who are reinventing their existing community or launching a new one . . .  surround you with peers, resources and experts - all dedicated to your success . . . [and] share what [they] learn openly and create tools to help many more builders in SF & beyond."

They have already launched 20+ in REAL life groups who are out there building connections.

"Young adults spend 2 hours less socializing face-to-face each day compared to previous generations. Only 16% of Americans feel very attached to their local community. It doesn’t have to be this way."

In their manifesto, Build IRL writes: "Gen Z and Millennials are seeking more IRL. High end social clubs are on the rise. Flip phones are back in. We want to spend more on experiences, less on stuff. Remote work is forcing everyone to seek in-person connection and community elsewhere. Despite this, existing social clubs are struggling to survive and not enough new ones are being created."

Build IRL helps real people do the real work (just like Rooted Sonshine) to build community that matters. If you are inspired to do something real local - let's work on it!
