Say 'Hello' to . . .

Rock School NW, brand new to Liberty Lake MØDE campus, is no stranger to investing in people and community. When Art Club was recruiting local artists, Rock School NW was eager to partner. On 10/5, Rock School NW hosted nearly 20 young artists. Voice, piano, and violin instructor, Delitra, engaged the group (even the shy ones) in activities and games that strengthened their confidence and their understanding of rhythm and beats.  Founder, Jacob Burrows, led a tour of the facilities and a jam session that had most of the young artists in hysterics and their parents in awe!

The two hour event flowed seamlessly from free play to drum beats to making up songs to exploring equipment and microphones. Watching Jacob and the Rock School NW team in action proved they developed their values, mission, and vision with intention.

Values and Mission and Vision . . .

Their core values are: #1 - People Before Process; #2 - Epic Experiences; #3 - Continual Improvement

Their mission is: "Connecting with students to inspire them to learn, grow and succeed at music and life."

And their vision is: "Changing Lives Through Music"

Bringing the mission to life . . .

Rock School NW knows that giving people the opportunity to perform with and for a community builds community.

"We aren't training up bedroom musicians. Our goal is to build confidence and get students prepared to take the stage at any of our Busking for a Cause events, in house recitals or any other plethora of opportunities where students can truly have the rock star experience by performing in front of a cheering crowd."

Theirs is a self-sustaining model - tailoring individual experiences that create a community that continues to improve by investing in itself and each other!

"Rock School NW is a special place where students belong.  Growth happens as we strive to empower students to reach their full potential as musicians and as individuals.  Through comprehensive instruction, mentorship and a supportive learning environment, we nurture their talents, expand their musical knowledge, and cultivate their confidence.  We celebrate their achievements, big and small, as they embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and personal growth."

The difference it makes . . .

Since founding Art Club, Rooted Sonshine has been educating the community on the value of art, how art quite literally strengthens brains and bodies - adding years to our lives, reducing stress hormones, and improving cognitive abilities.

Art is the creativity all people have within themselves - it could be storytelling, cooking, comedy, or it could be music.

With options for preschoolers to Centenarians, Rock School NW is a local small businesses that puts its people at the center to foster artistic expression in a way that builds confidence and nurtures a healthier community
