Giving Season

Rooted Sonshine works to give back, support one another, and prioritize people over things. We champion against a disposable culture that creates overproduction.

During the holiday season, it is easy to fall into the habit of quantity over quality because we want our loved ones to feel overwhelmed by our affection and appreciation.

With the 2024 Gift Guide, Rooted Sonshine is here to practice what we preach and also preach (a little louder) what we preach all year long ;)

Consumable . . .

Eat, drink, be merry AND give gifts that can be consumed so they don't end end up in a landfill or in the ocean.

Take some time to think about your loved ones and what might be a special gift with real meaning for them.

Specific Suggestions That include special meaning for me
Frozen Yogurt @ Just Chillin Several of my friends get together every Friday at our local frozen yogurt shop. Maybe you could start this tradition among your friends, too!
Christ's Kitchen From soups to scones to seasonings all delicious that also support good people!
Alexandria Nicole Cellars Incredible wines, but you can also book overnight stays at their winery

Experiences . . .

Experiences continue to become more and more expensive. If you are able to gift a membership, tickets, classes, etc. etc.  it can be an extravagance that someone might not otherwise be able to enjoy.

For the Check Out
Kids ITZ, Rock School NW, Infant Swim Lessons, Camps, Sports, Art Classes
Body Hitters, LevelUp, YMCA, Liberty Lake Fitness, Arts, The Hub, GolfTec
Mind Sandy the Intuitive, The Mat, MØDE, Retreats, TAC at the Lake

Services . . .

When I talk with my female friends, we often roll our eyes at the adage "self-care" because we don't have the time, money, and energy. Give that luxury this year.

Personally, I LOVE the customer service at elements massage, and their membership program has allowed me to gift services to my mom, mother-in-law, and friends throughout the year.

Trustworthy chiropractic care can be a REAL luxury for many. My current insurance doesn't cover my provider at Barrett Family Chiropractic in Liberty Lake, but thoughtful gifts can make it possible.

Chat with your loved ones to learn what services they would LOVE, but for whatever reason haven't been able to make happen. Showing interest and giving gifts that reflect those conversations truly put people first.

More Thoughtful Services Unforgettable Service Gifts
car detailing, house cleaning, botox, acupuncture, cupping, babysitting pelvic floor consultations, hormonal therapy, counseling sessions, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, red light or float therapy, window washing

Organizations . . .

Some of us have an abundance. Another sweater or gift card might not create that strong sense of appreciation to folks that "have it all". But donating in their honor to an organization that does good work can make real change. Lift others up through organizations that provide everything from basic needs to luxuries many of us take for granted. You might even introduce your loved one to a cause that changes their life forever!

A VERY short list of AMAZING Non-Profits and Organizations that accept donations ALL year long!!
Liberty Lake Better Together Fund Cycling On Purpose Launch NW
Save The Children 2nd Harvest The Royal Closet
Team Jack Foundation NMDPSM (Formerly Be the Match) Friends of Liberty Lake Library

PreOwned . . .

Don't sleep on the pre-owned. Vintage items hold immense nostalgia. Find the Care Bear for your grandchild that will also evoke emotion in your grown child. My husband's favorite gift last year was the Burger Chef 1970s Bengals drinking glasses a neighbor picked up at GoodWill.
