GivingTuesday & then some .  . . & then some more & still even more

On Tuesday December 3rd, the world comes together to GIVE . . . after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Where will you give this Giving Tuesday?

How will you be generous on the other 364 days of the year?

What is your definition of "giving"?

Is being generous something you only make a priority during a certain season?

Give Radically . . .

GivingTuesday "reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity.

Their global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life."

Radical Generosity is "the concept that the suffering of others should be as intolerable to us as our own suffering."

Give Locally . . .

Rooted Sonshine is always talking about building community and coming together in real life. Giving Tuesday is a day when you can dip your toes into this philosophy. Here is just a short list of organizations that are near and dear to both our heart and zip code.

Please GIVE to these tax deductible organizations:

FOREVEREST ~ On November 9, 2024, Everest's parents celebrated what would have been his third birthday with the Second Annual FOREVEREST 5K Walk/Run/Plunge. This grieving, but resilient family has created "a tribe of people inspired to support and serve families after child loss."

"It amazes me that with very little effort, but intentional focused care we together we’re able to make it possible for this family to have some breathing room to grieve. The generosity of your finances and most of all, your heart - amazes Chad and myself,"

Cycling On PurposeIn 2023, Travis Scott’s cousin Brent Warnecke unexpectedly passed away. Brent had been more of a brother than a cousin. He was the older brother, the role model, protector, and as Travis grew up and moved away, Brent became the connector. Brent planned trips and events that brought the family together. Brent was generous with his time, energy, and money so that the people around him felt connected to one another.

To honor his cousin and bring awareness to the current youth mental health crisis, Travis is cycling across the US - from Liberty Lake to Indianapolis. You can sponsor this Resilience Ride or you can join the Finish Strong On Purpose Challenge right now!

Light Up Liberty LakeIn 2022, Marla Larson united with Ace Hardware on an enrichment project called Light Up Liberty Lake. Community members purchased illuminated stars to celebrate the holiday season. More than $2000 in proceeds went to empower local Liberty Lake families.

Two years later, Light Up Liberty Lake is back as a collaborative project among Bite2Go, all six schools serving Liberty Lake, the City, and local businesses and citizens to support families in meeting basic needs not just during the holidays, but all year long.

Send donations to Light Up Liberty Lake via the Liberty Lake Better Together Fund by including "Light Up Liberty Lake" in the special instructions.

Give Generously & Genuinely . . .

The Giving Tuesday organization explains, "Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give."

What can you give?
